Dr. Sharma is an MBBS student from Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati who achieved his MD (Psychiatry) from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad. Following the completion of his residency period, Dr. Sharma joined Agarwal Nursing Home (Kurukshetra), this professional association spanning over 11 years. Dr. Sharma then set his heart on establishing his own independent centre and in 2014 his dream turned into reality with the foundation of the aforementioned neuropsychiatry clinic.
Dr. Sharma is a skilled medical educator with a vast teaching experience in clinical skills and theory in Psychiatry to junior residents, interns and undergraduate students. Moreover, he has also imparted training in mental health to Voluntary Rehabilitation Workers, Medical Officers, Anganwari Workers and Multipurpose Workers under District Mental Health Program. Dr. Sharma has always been at the forefront of community services such as Community De-addiction Camps and Disability Camps in which he has shown active participation.
Dr. Sharma seeks to create a society where mental health is protected and patient’s psychiatric concerns are addressed promptly. His clinical practice rests on the belief that mental illnesses should not hinder a person from enjoying life. The centre lives by the motto “Life is colourful again”and strives to enhance the quality of lives of those who are mentally ill.
