★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Made famous for vada Pau in or about 70/80s because you know what? It took ages to reach Poona by car named Ambassador and Premier Padmini. Those cars could not climb steep ghats at one go. They needed to cool their engine down and they needed stop right here! Travellers meanwhile became hungry and here comes Vada Pau. Ready. Fresh. Hot. Spicy. Tea? Coffee? Ok. You are done. Car is raring to go. You like the stop here. Everyone else liked it. This made Ramakant Batata Vada special.
