This Math is sanctified by the holy presence and stay of Sri Mahapurush Maharaj, Hari Maharaj and Khoka Maharaj, and most of the president maharaj jis of the holy order starting from Swami Shuddhanandaji Maharaj. It's a retreat centre where monks spend their time in contemplation of God and spiritual practices. At the same time the centre is serving the local people in the form of dispensary, vocational training for local tribal youths, and Tutoring and feeding small children through project like Gadadhar Abhyuday Prakalpa. The centenary of the math is due for next year. And most importantly it's just about less than 3 kns from Jamtara railway station which is one of the main railway routes connecting east and north India. It has got a guest house facility for devotees. The Math is full of fruit trees and flower plants. A must visit place for devotees of Sri Sri Guru Maharaj

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Holy and historical and one of the eldest Ramakrishna math ..must visit for Ramakrishna vivekananda devotees.One can come here by train from howrah or sealdah towarsds deoghar. .and from railway station take a rickshaw to reach the ashram it takes around 10 min ...very calm and peaceful surroundings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is one of the most sacred pilgrimage place for devotees of Ramakrishna Math & Mission. In 1921 this ashram was established on 3 bigha land.
The entrance of the ashram surrounded by greenery is very gorgeous. Structure of the main building, monk’s quarter and prasad bhavan are also very impressive. Moreover flowers, orchard, cowshed, pond, storage of straw – fills the mind with tremendous happiness. Swami Vivekananda's ethics are still obeyed by the monks of this ashram, for example – free eye care camps, mobile medical services in remote villages, relief camp for deprived village dwellers, distribution of blankets & clothes, education among indigenous children and distribution of milk etc.
"Swami Sanakananda" is the current president of this ashram; he is a sweet-spoken, hardworking, affectionate monk of Ramakrishna Order.
This ashram was blessed by the footsteps of Swami Shivananda (Mahapurush Maharaj), a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna. Currently Covid protocols are firmly preserved here.
Timing for visitors: 9 am – 11 am / 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
