Rented Thar 2021 modal, was an awesome experience with the Thar and car was well maintained in proper condition. Just loved it.

We had booked a self driven Tata Innova Crysta for a 3 day two way trip from Mohali to Kasauli and back to Mohali. But when we went to pick up the vehicle, we were assigned a Tata Innova, and were informed last minute that Crysta wasn't available. The staff didn't even have the decency to inform us about the non availability of the booked vehicle. (Disappointment no. 1) The staff took forever to get the vehicle ready even after informing them prior about our plan to pick up the vehicle at a certain time. (Disappointment no. 2) While the vehicle was in good condition and we had a good trip, the actual struggle and drama started after we dropped the vehicle back after returning from the trip. We were told initially that the security deposit of Rs. 10000.00/- would be returned after 5 days, upon making sure there were no challans and speeding tickets. Also, the amount would be adjusted as we had booked a Tata Innova Crysta and were given a Tata Innova (downgrade). But, I had to follow-up twice a day for an additional 8 days after waiting the initial 5 days to get the security deposit, inspite of having no challans / speeding tickets. (Major Disappointment no. 3) Also, the amount that was to be adjusted was never mentioned and i was informed that the price for both the vehicles was same! (Fraud/Cheating and Disappointment no. 4) Shivam, the guy from the staff with whom I was following up twice everyday would simply lie to me and conveniently smooth-talk with me every single day for 8 days straight saying that he'd send me the security deposit by the end of day. He is a liar and has no shame nor integrity. I finally had to talk to the owner, express my disappointment and my money was returned only after having an unpleasant conversation after waiting for 3 additional days. Definitely would NOT recommend Rana cabs!!! These guys are not professional and do not stick to their word. The staff are scamsters and I've had the worst experience dealing with them!!! Do not even think or consider Rana Cabs!

Awesome experience with our rented Thar from here. They gave us 2021 model and we took it to Spiti valley, with such dangerous roads also, it was an incredible experience riding it. Mr. Rana is also quite humble and understanding. Would definitely recommend them and rent more in future trips.
