Though the location of shop is not gud and less investment done on its infrastructure, the quality of sweets is impressive.I found Malai gilauri the best among others.

This is the most versatile sweets shop I've ever seen. You can have most delicious sweets here which you've not eaten in your life. Raswanti is in itself something miraculous in taste. Its tastes remains in your mouth for a long time. Apart from raswanti you've other varieties too which will entice your taste buds.

An old sweet shop in the old part of town. Reaching there can be challenging but it is worth. The ordinary looking shop does provide limited but very tasty options for indian sweets. Gillori and raswanti deserve special mention here. Difficult to reach there by car or bike. One must walk to shop.

Tucked in a corner waging through narrow lanes of banaras via Thateri bazaar , this no frills sweet shop cum factory churns out some of the most famous and yummiest sweets. Most popular being the orange ? and the malai gilori. But the young boy on the cash was of a bit rude behaviour. Needs better training.

The Best Sweet shop in Thatheri Bazar...No doubt! Most of their sweets are made in desi ghee, and most of them have pistachios or almonds in them, also saffron. Try their Malai Gilori (10/10, size and quality justify the price of 40₹), Rasvanti (yes, that's the shop name too, this is a Varanasi version of Bengali Kheer Kadam with just Peda covered), kesari barfi, Tiranga (as the sweet is created in the day of independent of India), Mewa barfi and another barfi shaped white colored sweet with pistachios and kheer filling (I forgot the name) (Just don't try orange burfi)
