I loved this museum a lot. There were good variety of fishes and they were quite well maintained. I also met Dr.Maiter who is the curator of the museum. He explained me the mechanics behind the maintenance of those fishes. We also enjoyed the turtles and sea urchins. The blue whale skeleton was very well kept & maintained as well. Overall we spent around 2-3 hours at the museum, understanding each and every species in details.

You can see here a variety of saltwater and sweet water fishes kept in a well-maintained aquarium. The main attraction is the skeleton of a Blue Whale which was found in the Ganpatipule sea in 1980. They have preserved the skeleton in a long glass cabin. This skeleton is 55 feet long. There are many other attractions in the museum also, they have preserved the rare species of fish crabs, and dolphins in chemical water. For such enjoyment, there is no age limit just go and enjoy.

Entry fee per person is 20rs . Aquarium is well maintained, having different type of fishes, however one attractive thing here is the gigantic whale skeleton. Good sitting place outside the aquarium and you can also do boating here. Good parking space available outside for all types of vehicles and washroom facility is also there.
