★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Central research centre of iiser Kolkata having advanced research facilities for doing cutting-edge science.
It has got five departments. Central facilities and dependent of Earth sciences in the ground floor, dependent of physical sciences and earth sciences in the first floor. Biological sciences in the second and chemical sciences the top. Also it has two cafe corner. Professor offices are in their respective floors. It has got two auditoriums, one in ground floor and one in 2nd.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Research complex (RC) and Teaching and Research Complex (TRC) is the same building in IISER Kolkata. RC was constructed before TRC. Majority of the laboratories are situated inside research complex (few labs are in Prefab building and academic complex). The Department of Chemical Sciences, Biological sciences, physical sciences, earth sciences, mathematical sciences are situated inside this building.
Laboratories are well equipped with respective instruments to carry out advance research. NMR, XRD, SEM, TEM, single molecule spectroscopy set up is available.
Some Features of Research complex-
1)The building is well equipped to deal with emergency situation. Fire extinguisher, fire hose cabinet, water sprinkler, smoke alarm, fire alarm, safety shower, safety eye wash, emergency exit is available.
2)First aid Box is available near the RC main entrance.
3)Washrooms are clean, hygienic and maintained regularly.
4)Drinking water available in all floors of RC.
5)Wheelchair accessible entrance and toilet for disabled available in all the floors.
6) Wheelchair accessible car parking zone available near main entrance of RC.
7) Wheelchair accessible lift available.
