This incident is about Mr Dutta and his never ending love for animals. Mr Dutta claims himself to be an advisory member of PAWS(Pashupati Animal Welfare Society) . I had admitted a stray dog at PAWS on 7th April. Initially , they were refusing to take her as she had distemper symptoms saying that they do not admit without prior information. However , the funny thing is before taking there, I had called on their number several times , but it was switched off. It remains switched off all the time so that no rescue or emergency case reaches them . Hearing all these, I decided to take the dog away without admitting. However , they agreed to admit the dog on their own taking 500/- deposit and telling to give 2000/- as soon as possible. Soon after this, I started receiving calls from Mr Prasenjit Dutta(owner of RKD pet shop) who is am advisory member of paws. He started threatening me why I had taken his name there. I had taken his name in a normal sense as I knew him personally. He started speaking rudely and claiming 2000/- saying that otheewise they will be able to provide all medications. Within next 2 days, I paid the full amount of 2000/- and asked them to do all possible treatment assuring I will provide the fund.Paws informed me that they are doing the possible treatments from their side. However, 2 days later they suddenly realized that they will be not be able to treat distemper dog. Mr Dutta told me to take the dog away anyhow as soon as possible. Mr Dutta started making false allegations against me that I was disturbing their manager, forcing them to do costly treatment. Whereas , I had only asked if better treatment is possible if I provide more funds. If asking for the health update of the dog once a day whose treatment I had paid for is disturbance, then the messages about RKD Pet shop sent to me almost daily was an unwanted and unnecessary nuisance. But I had never felt so or said anything. I agreed to do that and did that also. Now when I am asking for the treatment record they are unable to provide any prescription and telling that they have no such vets who does the treatments. The most horrible thing is I dont know who did the treatment - their shelter manager, caretaker, swewper, or Mr Dutta just like he gives vaccine to dogs at his pet shop himself being a mere pet shop owner. They are offering me to take back 2000/- deposit. I dont need the money back I had given it for someones treatment . All I want is a prescription and a genuine record of treatment which I have understood you will never be able to give. My Suggestion- If you dont have even doctor facilities at an ngo, pls shut down. Running a pet shop and a ngo is not same. And Mr Dutta, you had blocked me on whatsapp saying I am speaking rubbish. I am giving time till eternity. You pls provide me some prescription or genuine record of treatment.Because keeping a dog lay on a jute sack for 5 days doesnt cost 2000/-.

So, I will first talk about a bad experience I had while shopping for my pets. I had ordered a Pedigree Starter 3 Kg packet for my 35 days old Spitz puppy through their webstore. He made the delivery that day. On receiving the product , I saw that the food had its best before date on march. And it was already January. So, literally, I had to finish the food within approx 1.5 months. But it was not possible as my pup was only 35 days and was just starting to eat food. So I asked him if it was possible to change the packet by any 3 kg packet having more best before date or a 1.2 Kg Pack. But he said that he had no more packet of Starter in stock. He started saying that food can be given sometimes even after best before date. I dont know whether he feeds his own pets or family members food items after best before date. He also said that that a 1.5 months spitz puppy can eat around 150-200 gms of food in a day. That was really funny?. Because even an adult spitz eat around 200 gm of food in a day. He started saying various things to support his stand about well being of pets. However , he maybe forgets about all those things when he himself gives vaccination to dogs at his pet shop. He forgets that vaccination should always be given by or under direct supervision of a REGISTERED VET . And I dont think he is a vet. Anyways, then finally I showed him that according to govt guidelines, any ecommerce seller is bound to display the expiry date of the product or always provide a fresh product. After this, he agreed to take back the food and refunded me the entire money that night.
