Near to sonamukhi, so there will be no problem from flooding and lodging..
A great place in Bankura District..
Its a big dam, you will definitely love it.
It has less water in winter, but have great volume of water in other time of year..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The dam is a picnic spot during the month of December and January. It looks stunning in the rainy season at the same time it becomes very dangerous during rainy days. One should take special precautions visiting this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good place for hang out and picnic. May be a option for couples also. Nice sorrounding and view. There are one or two tea stalls for eatables. Right side of the entrance area, there is local crematorium(শ্মশান).Though the water level remains very low during dry time, it is prohibited to enter into the water or taking bath here. In spite of this, people are habituated to do the opposite.
