ABOUT THE RAILWAY CLUB, S P MARG
The Railway Club, S.P.Marg is situated at one of the most posh locations in Delhi, East of Dhaula Kuan and in the vicinity of 5-star hotels like Taj Palace and Maurya Sheraton.
The Club was established with the objective of promoting healthy and corporate social life and developing social welfare activities amongst the members and the families of Indian Railway Gazetted officers. The Club remains active throughout the year with a number of sports and entertainment activities for more than 800 active members and their families. The Club activities include sports like Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Squash, Swimming, Billiards & Snooker, Basket Ball, Gym and entertainment activities like Card & Rummy etc. It also has a library facility with a good collection of old and new books. Members can also book the Club premises like the banquet hall or lawn to organize parties on any social or private occasions.
Gazetted Officers (serving and retired) of the Indian Railways and of the Ministry of Railways may become member of the Club with nominal charges. The General Manager of the Northern Railway remains patron of the Club.
Overall the Club fulfills its objective by adding colours to the lives of members with many interactive sports and entertainment activities. The western dance training program organized recently by the Club management for wards of the Members was a real hit as the children enjoyed to the fullest during their summer vacation.

There is a nice, big swimming pool, not overly crowded all the time, indoor badminton and squash courts, gym, etc. Functions and parties are also held in this club. However membership is only for employees or ex-employees of the Indian Railways. Non members may access services by paying the required fees (which is not always charged).
