A Heritage steam loco WG 8258, weighing 161 ton, more than 50 years old, complete with Boiler and Tender has been placed in the circulating area of Sahibganj station of Malda division of Eastern Railway. Only 9 such locos have been preserved on Indian Railways.

Shibganj is beauty of nature place . Some time the mountain are look like a Darjeeling. And opposite side is Ganga which look so beautiful . Is place is best for peace life .

Sahibganj is under Eastern Railways. Railway premmious is clean but outside the station is not proper cleaning. Local Riskawala and car park into the parking area but they are always be on hurry unfortunately facing the Trufic because of there not follow the rules. Weather is so good u can enjoy the natural view from the Footbridge.

Main railway station in Sahibganj district, falls under Malda division. It is situated between Barharwa- Bhagalpur route. Currently it has three platforms. All trains passing through this route stops here. Station premises is quite near and clean. Have a good circulating area in the out side of the station building. A heritage steam locomotive, a giant national flag & vertical garden are increases it's beauty from the entrance.

Nice tourist place like moti jharna and sahebganj international shipyard. Good to have some best place in Jharkhand. The hogh range of mountains are really impressive. Once you watch those range you would love them. Very very good place. Interesting But full of dust and polluted air. Cant go outside with car. Only bike or foot is easy. A good view of holy river ganga. You can have bath thats so auspicious.
