★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sakher bazar is one of the best local markets in Uttarpara Bhadrakali Area. You can buy here the vagetables, fish, mutton, chicken and all daily grossary things. Fish market here is quite fresh and reasonable in price. Early morning Bazar can help you a great fresh vagetables and fish items to buy from here. Social distancing on this days is rare even here too. But please wear mask and carry your own sanitizer for your safety. From Uttarpara you can came here by bus, toto or auto only in Rs. 10. It takes 15 mins maximum to reach here from Ballykhal or Ballyghat via GT Road. Also 15 mins from Konnagar Bata stopage via GT Road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sakher Bazar is a place, located at Bhadrakali, under Uttarpara Kotrung Municipality. This is also a bus stop on GT Road. The place is important mainly for its market (known as Sakher Bazar, from where the name of this place has originated), Mahamaya hospital and other nearby hospitals, many good doctors and test clinics, banks and ATMs, schools and one girls college. Its market place is the one, near GT Road, where fresh vegetables, groceries, fish, chicken and mutton are available at a single area. Although the price of vegetables is little bit higher than the Kanthal Bazar and Makhla Bazar, but people like this place due to availability of variety. However, the inside area of the market place is filthy, narrow and crowded. As far as living is concerned, this place was a nice one till 6-7 years back, but the recent boom of real estate has seen this place to develop many high rise flats in recent past which has blocked the ganges breeze as well as has created power problem during summer time.
