I had the best time at this particular outlet and have to especially mention the staff, service and the overall pleasant atmosphere that is created by the people there. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Must visit if you love South Indian food. You will definitely get hooked to the filter coffee. 10/10 would recommend and go here again. Getting hungry just thinking about it. Much love. ❀

Sambar Restaurant Love South Indian food? Then this place is the one for you. This joint is located on Tilak Road which has an inner and outer seating area. It's a spacious eatery. The staff here is courteous and their service is timely. We started with- 1. Beetroot rasam- A unique concept in rasam. Me being a rasam fan, this was worth giving a try. 2. Open butter masala dosa- Dosas are prepared live in front of you. Masala dosa is topped with veggies, gunpowder masala, potato sabji and loads of butter. It is served with sambar and two types of chutneys which tastes amazing. 3. Ghee podi idli- These idlis are a mouth-watering treat so devour them. 4. Paper Butter Masala Dosa- Crisp and tasty paper dosa toped with cheese and served with coconut chutney and potato sabzi is a foodie’s delight here. 5. Mangalore Buns- It's Mangalore's popular deep-fried flat banana bread. It's puffy on the outside, soft and hollow on the inside. 6. Veg Biryani Parrota Combo- If you're looking for a hearty meal then go for this dish. Every dish is super tasty. It comprises paneer sabzi, parrota, veg biryani, sevai kheer, mirchi bhaji, pickle, papad and buttermilk. 7. Dahi Vada- The best dahi vada we had in a while. We ended our meal with Pineapple sheera and Gulabjamun. Both of them were bang on. Overall, this is a very good dining place to relish south Indian cuisine.

Satiate your South Indian Tastebuds at this restaurant which is located on Tilak Road. The ambience is pretty decent, they have outer and inner seating areas. The staff here is affable and their hospitality is spot on. We tried a few dishes and would recommend you all to try them once you're here. Start your meal with some comforting beetroot rasam. Also, try their open butter masala does which is a total win as the potato sabzi complements the dish. Paper masala dosa tastes super yum as the crispy texture makes it irresistible. It is served with chutney, red chutney and sambar. Their sambar tastes authentic and makes you crave for more. Dahi vada here is a must-try as lentil fritters are dunked in thick dahi and served with crispy namkeen adding crispiness to every bite. Their combo meal named veg biryani parotta combo is a total value for money as you get paneer sabzi, sevai kheer, veg biryani, parotta, Mirchi fritter, pickle and papad. Mangalore buns are fried banana puri giving it a sweet taste are again a must-try here as they were something new we tried. You can also satisfy your sweet tooth by indulging in their comforting pineapple sheera and delicious gulab jamun. If you want to try South Indian cuisine then Sambar offers the best. Do visit them!

We visited the Shukrawar Peth outlet of Sambar I am a fan of South Indian food. What we tried : βœ“ Special Dosa ( Open Butter Masala Dosa): The open butter masala dosa, as the name suggests, was a thick dosa cooked in butter, sprinkled with gunpowder, carrot and beet and cooked aloo ki sabji (dosa aloo) was served with loads of butter on top. Also served with chutneys and sambar. It was delicious and a must-try. Highly recommended. βœ“Mangalore Buns: This was a new one for me. Looked like pooris, the buns were made from a batter with different flours and bananas. It was a little sweeter than usual pooris. The same was served with potato gravy called Aloo Sagu and chutneys. This was really yummy and completely finger licking. βœ“Chow chow bath: Chow chow bath is a combination of salty Upma and sweet Keshari Bath. This was unique and must try a combination. This is highly recommended. The sweet and salty combination was amazing. βœ“Rawa Idli: Also tried the raw idli which was scrumptious. The idli was huge and also ghee was poured on the top to make it more delicious. βœ“Also, we tried the Filter Kaapi and Gulab jamun. The Gulab Jamun was soft and delicious. Filter Kaapi was also very refreshing to end the meal. The place is great for having authentic South Indian food. The menu is huge. Also you can search for the day special like special Dosa of the day or Swami Special.

Great place to sample authentic mysore veg food and filter coffee and light on the pocket too. There is ample seating avaliable avaliable outdoor and indoor on 2 levels. Service is super fast and courteous. The have super tasting dosas, idlis and wadas served with my favourite tangy sambar, coconut chutney and red chutney. Also had their filter Coffee which was amazing and a steal at just 20 rs. Then had an utapam with masala which was different and tasty. Then had the amazing hot mangalore buns served with a subji and chutney which was really nice with its banana flavour haven't had this before and is now one of my favourites. Then had the unique dahi wada which has a unique flavour and was served with masala bondi farsan to be eaten together. Next had their special South Indian thali which has so many yummy veg items with a pulav and payasam. In dessert we had pineapple Shera which had real pieces of pineapple and gulab jamun. Highly recommended this place for a quick snack or a full meal superb quality and taste of every item. Food 5/5 Ambience 4/5 VFM 5/5
