It's the most amazing experience to see nature in its full glory . The amazement to see the two mighty river converge leaving a distinct line on the surface of the water for people to see. The third river is disappeared in the TRIVENI SANGAM area

The word "sangam" means meeting point. The place is situated in prayagraj (Allahabad). Sangam is the confluence of Ganga, yamuna, sarswati. The Ganges and Yamuna there can be identified by their different colours – the water of the Ganges is clear while that of Yamuna is greenish in colour. The third river, mythical Saraswati, is called invisible.

It is an amazing place . Here you can see Ganga ,Yamuna and Saraswati. You can easily identify these rivers due to colours of water. If you want to take bath on sangam, you have to go between these rivers and it will costs you aroung 600-1000 through boat. And you also have to pay R.S 30 for standing between these rivers during bathing.

Triveni Sangam Prayagraj Often touted as Triveni Sangam, Sangam is one of the highly revered religious sites in Prayagraj. The term ‘Sangam’ refers to the point of confluence where the most sacred rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meet to offer a scenic vista in Prayagraj to relish. As per the Hindu beliefs, a holy dip in the water of the Sangam cleanses one from all sins. Therefore, you can find a lot of Hindu pilgrims swarming this top attraction for taking a holy bath to attain salvation (moksha). Not only this, but believers also come to this religious place to immerse the ashes of their deceased relatives in the holy water of Sangam. As per the Hindu Mythology, the ashes of a deceased person must be immersed in the holy water of River Ganges in order to help them achieve moksha after death. At this place of tourist interest in Prayagraj, the famous Kumbh Mela is also held. One of the must-see things here is the evening Aarti which are held at Saraswati Ghat and Nehru Ghat that are located in the near proximity to Triveni Sangam. In order to relish the sights of the confluence, one can reach here from Qila Ghat where the boating facility is available. Opening / Closing Timings Triveni Sangam stays open from Sunday to Saturday. One can visit the place on any day from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM. However, the prefered time to visit Sangam is from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM or 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Best Time to Visit The sacred site of Sangam can be visited any time during the year. However, the best time to visit the place is the winter season. Beginning in the month of October, the winter season in Prayagraj is all about pleasant weather condition which allows tourists to explore the region to its fullest. The season ends in the month of February.

A very nice place with spiritual significance in Hinduism. If you really want to enjoy at sangam then go around 4-5 in evening, visit the qila built by akbar(Ram Temple inside that). Then a very beautiful temple is also there (can't recall the name). Then Have bath at sangam, collect some Holy water. Then after 6 attend Ganga Aarti, get Prasad. And also don't forget to visit bade Hanuman Ji Mandir.

This is the holy place where people come to bath in the triveni river i.e.; The Ganga river, The Yamuna river, The Saraswati river. The holy rivers is a scared place for Hindus, with a bath here said to flush all of one's sin and free from the cycle of rebirth. ? There is always too much crowded with people and it is located near Akbar Fort and Bada Hanuman Mandir. Just a km away from the sangam. Whosoever come for the bath definitely go to the temple of not the Fort. The typical family like place to go and offer your prayers ?

Prayagraj is believed to be the most important pilgrimage centre for Hindus. Traditionally river confluences are regarded as auspicious places, but in Sangam, the significance of the confluence is most pious because here, the holy Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati meet to become one. According to legends, Vishnu was carrying a Kumbh (pot) of amrit (nectar), when a scuffle broke out and four drops were spilled. They fell to earth at the four Tirthas of Prayag, Haridwar, Nasik and Ujjain. A tirtha is a place where the devout can attain salvation. The event is commemorated every three years by the Kumbh Mela, held at each tirtha in turn; the Sangam is known as Tirtharaj, the ‘King of Tirthas’ and here the Kumbh is held once in every twelve years, which is the greatest and holiest of all.
