★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ancient temple. Spacious.Spiritual. Lot of open space for parking. More about Sthala purana: no authentic information is available on the period of construction. But, elders say that it was constructed in 12 th century A.D. and Chola dynasty.
The name of the temple indicates that this is the Sangamam point, i.e., River Krishna merges with Sea. But , due to Geological disturbances over a period of centuries, this Sangamam point is moved away to near Hamsala Deevi. One can observe the same in Google Map.
Another important aspect is that Sun races land on the Siva Linga in the Sanctum sanctorum, for about fifteen days during Sivarathri period; whereas, sun races will land on shiva linga, at Konark & Arasavelli, for one or two days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lord Shiva temple near the sea shore. Excellent and old temple. Huge temple compound with saneeswara, naga ప్రతిష్ట, పుట్ట, యాగ శాల. It has all facilities like stove for cooking pongal, sheads, గోశాల, bathrooms etc. Must visit temple. If have some more time u may visit bay of Bengal just few kilometres from here. Om namah shivaya... Hara hara mahaa deva
