★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is situated at the North side of the Santragachi Railway station. It was dug for developing the surroundings to create a residential colony for Railway offices and it's employees. It is vast in area and by nature it is nice. Now every year a large number of various migrated birds are arrived over here from northern Asia. They stay over here up to spring time. For their attraction many visitors come to enjoy the play of these birds. Some times writers, reporters also visits this lake. But due lake of maintenance birds are coming in lass number. I hope the assigned authority will take some appropriate steps for it's improvements.
