Crowded
Security is okay if u stay at platform at night
Regular check for tickets, so plz purchase one
Oposite to station there is bus stop and you can go to any place from there..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You will get reserved & unreserved tickets of all places from here. waiting rooms & sitting areas available. Two unreserved booking counter & one reserved booking counter is here. Mobile charging point facility is here. Pay & use toilets are also by the side of ticket counter. Many local trains as well as express trains halt in Santragachi so nowadays the ticket counters are crowded most of the time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has become an important junction but they don't allow to drop the passenger near to the overbridge they charge you money for a simple drop too which is ridiculous!!
All the platforms can be accessed by overbridge only which makes it difficult for senior citizens and people with luggage have to shell out hefty money to the porter's!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Length of the platforms are not sufficient for some of the express trains. Due to construction platforms surfaces are uneven and problematic to pulling the trolley bags. Insufficient lighting is also a issue of passengers discomfort. There is a big parking zone for private cars, cabs and taxis.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not well maintained..... Should construct one more Foot Over Bridge because it was too difficult to to cross platform especially when it is rush.... And the road outside the station is too narrow and not good. There was water all over the road if it rains and won't drain for days ......

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Entry and exit is a mess due to on-going maintenance activities. No proper signages provided to guide where is which platform. Access to the platforms is also very tedious as it's feels almost about a km walk from the cab drop point. Very inconvenient if you are carrying heavy luggage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The station was well maintained and provided with transport facilities to all parts of Kolkata as well as interconnected to suburbs through local train service. On the outside, there is prepaid taxi service as well as Uber and Ola pickup points. The next time you don't get ticket to Howrah, don't worry about arrival to this station, as it is more passenger friendly than Howrah junction.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shade of the ticket counter is too small to accommodate more than 10 passengers.During monsoon and hot summer passengers feel the heat.The shade should have an extension immediately.More counters should be opened during peak hours, especially in the afternoon and evening,for passengers returning home after day's work.
