SARASWATI AGRO CHEMICALS (INDIA) PVT. LTD. - Dera Bassi

Saraswati Group was started by the vision of Mr. Suraj Kumar Bansal (CMD) who is associated with Agro Chemical business since 1970. Lalit Kumar Bansal s/o Mr. Suraj Kumar Bansal is the Managing Director of the group and is in the business  since 28 years.

In the year 1987, Saraswati group of companies had its humble beginning at Kharar, Punjab with formulation of Agrochemicals in the name of PUNJAB PESTICIDES INDUSTRIAL CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY. Formulation of various products like EC’s, WP’s , PGR’s and GR’s was done by association with various multinationals companies like BAYER, AVENTIS.

Second toll manufacturing unit was started in the year 1999 in the name of SARASWATI AGRO CHEMICALS INDIA PVT LTD- UNIT 1 situated at Dao Majra, Kharar (Punjab). Various types of granules are formulated at this site.

In the year 2005, Saraswati Group extended its business by establishing  Agro Chemical Formulation units at Bari Brahmna and Birpur, Jammu as SARASWATI AGRO CHEMICALS INDIA PVT LTD- UNIT 2 & SARASWATI AGRO CHEMICALS INDIA PVT LTD- UNIT 3. This unit has benefits of Exemption on Excise duty (a tax on manufactured goods), Conditional concession on Income Tax, Subsidy on Transport, Loans, etc. Jammu is the only estate where such benefits are eligible. New formulation technologies like SC’s(suspension concentration), Wettable Granules (WDG – Extruder&Schugin mixer andAgromalation), Wettable Powders (WP) were started by association with various multinationals companies like Bayer, BASF, Du Pont, Dow, Tata, Rallies etc.

In the year 2006, Saraswati Group started its Real Estate Business in the name of JAMUNA DEVELOPERS, Kharar (PUNJAB).

SARASWATI PLASTOTECH INDIA PVT. LTD, Bari Brahmna (Jammu) was established in the year 2010 for manufacturing of plastic bottles for Agro Chemicals using backward integration. Further this business was expanded to Pharmaceuticals, FMCG & Food Industry. An investment of approx. 35 million USD was done and various technologies like injection molding, blow molding etc.  were made available. Further in 2011, Bottle business extended to set up a Polycarbonate Multiwall solid sheets manufacturing unit with technical know-how from BMS (now changed to Covestro) for their polycarbonate sheet production.

In the year 2011 SARASWATI AGRO CHEMICALS (INDIA) PVT. LTD, Derabassi (PUNJAB)  was established due to the substantial residential development in the vicinity of Saraswati’s existing units in Kharar (PPICS & SACIPL -1).  So to ensure sustainability of future business a new agrochemicals formulation manufacturing site was developed at Derabassi  near Chandigarh. Various SC(Suspension Concentrate), EC(Emulsion Concentrate) CS, WP, GR,etc. are being formulated and the site has total area of 54 acres keeping in mind the preview of future expansion and development.

SARASWATI GROUP established its business in warehousing and C/F business in year 2015 in the name of Mehak Enterprises having its registered office at village Khanpur (Kharar).

SARASWATI GROUP, in 2019, started with their new venture in the name of Saraswati Agro Life Science India Pvt. Ltd. with the vision of providing “GOOD QUALITY AND RELAIBLE” products for the farming community.
