Inspired by the ideals of Sardar Patel, the Gujarat Education Society established, in 1958, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya to meet the diverse educational needs of the Capital of independent India.
The Gujarat Education Society which established the Vidyalaya manages the Vidyalaya through elected representatives in the Governing Body. The Governing Body lays down the direction, the policies and the guidelines for the Vidyalaya and monitors its performance on an on going basis.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to SPV for the 4 years of high school (9-12) and I loved it! It's amongst the top 10 schools in Delhi, and that's absolutely valid keeping in mind the excellent faculty, great crowd, lots of extracurricular activities, and fests.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible school. prides itself on it's respect for diversity but favours certain groups over others. Inconsiderate teachers. Not worth the fees and charges for facilities that were not used by the students. No tolerance for Western culture. No tolerance for certain types of music even though they are not inappropriate or unsafe. Preaches about saving the environment but doesn't hesitate to blast 3 ads for a relatively small room. Unbearable to sit in class during summers due to the heat and lack of air conditioners but administration does not care. Also, it's run by gujratis, so that's pretty self explanatory.

every child should know there own mother tounge and SPV teaches the children very well! They learn hindi and english both at the same levels there are 4 indian languages to choose from one should always know there own country's language first ::)
