β β β β β The memorial is nicely curated with details on life and work of Sardar. It seems it lacks proper maintenance and direction to make it a perfect memorial to provide information on legacy of Sardar Patel. The basement on photo gallery is not at all maintained.

β β β β β I visited this place during my trip to Ahmedabad and it made me feel as if I was living in the era of pre independence. This place is situated in the Moti Shahi Mahal built by the mughals.
The ground floor of the museum is totally dedicated to Sardar Patel. It displays many of his personal items and many replicas are built inside which depict his life story, like the prison cell where he stayed or his study, etc.
The first floor has many rooms, each carrying a different theme. It has a room dedicated to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore as he had spent some of his days here writing one of his books.
The palace is surrounded by a beautiful garden and we get to spot peacocks, monkeys, squirrels and many other birds.
We also attended an audio visual programme which documented the life of Sardar Patel.

β β β β β A must visit place that gives much insight about the Hero of the India of today, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, also called the architect of modern India. We learn so much about this great man who was such an epitome of selflessness...brilliance personified!
No words are enough to describe the enormity of this great man.
One can tour the memorial for a very nominal entry ticket.
I would highly recommend going there when one is in Ahmedabad.

β β β β β Excellent place to know about Indian history, especially of Sardar Vallabhai Patelji. Well maintained place and quite with no crowd. Loved the place and ambience of the place. If you love Indian history, especially Independence and formation of India, must visit place.

Includes 30 minutes movie describing real life story of Sardar Patel.
First floor exhibition shows all history about Sardar Patel, his study, his home, school, satyagrah, central jail, collection of his items, contribution of all 3 freedom fighters Nehru, Sardar patel & Gandhiji in making india free from British. Second floor have special separate rooms dedicated to different themes collections of old coins, Tirthdham of India, History about Rabindranath Tagore, books written by him.

Good garden, parking area, well maintained cleanness, benches for rest etc.

β β β β β A place where you can know everything about the Iron Man Of india, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.. it has a big parking place for 2 and 4 wheelers. Ticket is 20rs. for adults and 10rs. for childrens.. you can watch a small documentary of Sardar's life which is included in the ticket.. you can walk through a big hall and various rooms in which different stages of his life is displayed with original photographs, documents and artificial models. You can also see the different states and kings which were there before the Sardar United them and created the India that we see now. Overall a good experience. And yes, it has an audio visual section as well.. only thing which is missing is a good canteen. Conclusion is that it is very good place where you can have very deep and up close knowledge of Sardar's life and our fight for freedom.

β β β β β Overall it's spectacular place but it needs more collection with historical value rather than just information boards (with many inaccurate information). It gives good knowledge about Sardar's life. Even if you want to visit first class historical monument without any interest in museum, this is a place for you as it's a palace built by Shahjahan, the builder of Tajmahal. Photography is discouraged by the staff. You can do it at your own risk. Photography outside is allowed. The entry fee for museum is Rs 20 per head for adults
