★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing.!! Too big Very nice and big fish market ... I didn't go to the morning but the morning view is going to be very nice. Next time is going to be in the morning. This is a very nice place to visit. Fish lovers should definitely come here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mumbai's chaos it's a fish market what can you expect. A beautiful dock with the distinct fish smell ( avoid if you cannot handle strong odor ) built in 1871 few buildings are in need of repair. If you want to buy fish go at 6 in the morning and feel the maddening rush. Please look after your wallets and valuables. Morning you will not be able to buy 2/4 fishes you'll buy in lots like in a wholesale store. Works out cheaper

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to buy fresh fishes and at good price. You'll come across many chefs around the town here bargaining for the fresh catch and a good fish to put up on their restaurant menu ! And one can even go there to see and come across various varieties of fishes which one have never seen before

Location: Near by Merine drive and Coloba centre
What is this place: This is a fishing Hurber, Fisherman land. Murchant buy the fishes from Fisherman and they will store in sasoon dock godown and export to other cities.
Does it sightseeing place: No not at all, very bad area like slum. No cleaning no roads. Full of bad smell. But onthing can be good for visiting, fishing boats are parked near by this place, can see and enjoy the boats.
Final words: It is a goods place fishing export, not recommended for tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a whole new experience. I had never been to a fish market . There were not just 5 or 10 types but hundreds of different varieties surmai , pomfret , mackerel , rohu , mahseer , kajuli , tengara , magur , vaam and so many I don't even remember their names . All the boats with flags were parked . People bargaining for their rates. Most of the sellers were peeling fishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every fish lover's paradise! Beautiful fresh and reasonable sea fish available amidst all the chaos! Make sure you wear gumboots if possible and carry your own bags!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All 5 sense are enhanced and awoken when visiting this market. Overall it was an amazing experience to see fish being caught and marketed in the ways of the old. It is a far cry from where I am originally from in South Africa. The humbleness and friendliness of the people in the market was admirable. It was a good walk around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big Market for wholesale fish.. You will get fresh n various type of fish here at be very reasonable rates if you know how to bargain.. Advantage of this market is you will always get fresh fish. Only thing is it can be more reasonable if you are buying in bigger quantity. Like for 10-12 people. They do give small quantity but still it’s too much for 2-3 people.
