★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fine library. But it's a Central University Library, dude! It has no good air condition. Not even fans! I mean seriously? It should be air conditioned!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Sayaji Rao Gaekwad Library or the Central Library, Banaras Hindu University is one of the finest and largest libraries in India. The library contains huge collection of books and manuscripts. Alongside, the library has a huge repository of research papers. The building was funded by the Maharaja of Baroda State, His Highness Maharaja Sayaji Rao Gaekwad III. The foundation laying of the same was done by the then Viceroy of British Indian Empire, Lord Halifax in 1927.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are a lot of books available in this library. If you are a BHU student then you can issue book from text book section for studying there, if you want to issue book to bring at your living place then you can visit stock section and select book as your requirement but you have given only limited time to keep book. This time is only two month. After two month you have to charge one rupees per single extra day.
A huge number ok books available here. Foreigners also come here to visit.

This place is full of modern facilities( like different chamber for periodicals, cyber library both fully air conditioned), with the
great base of Old books .It is said that "more than a lakh books reside here"....and of course ,they are waiting for you to interact with!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the finest library in India. Its a goldmine of knowledge. This central library provides you more than lakhs of books from different categories and different authors. Such a peaceful environment you will get here. This library is just located near Vishwanath temple of BHU. Probably You can find any of the book you want, you can also do issue books for home reading after the issue of book u can use it till 2 months and then u have to return it otherwise 1 rupee per day late fine will be charged. the student of any department can go there and do their self study, the one thing also that u can make xerox of any book u want in low cost, all the librarian are very helpful and polite to the students. There is a garden outside the library which is greenish and beautiful. You can sit there and can study too. Library have availability of parking systems too.
