★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very old high school in this area on the name of Shri Deep Narayan Singh, the 2nd CM of Bihar and he was of a permanent resident of this village, Purantand. During his tenure in Goverment,he was not ready to approve opening of this School because people in the area were proposing to open a school after his name.... He was ready to approve but only after removal of his name from proposed school name. This shows that how down to earth person he was. For his whole life he lived in a house with kutchha roof because his honest earnings were not enough to make new house with pukka roof. Salute to his honesty, simplicity and his dedication toward the goverment and society... Jai Hind... Swargiya Deep Narayan Singh Amar rahe.....
