★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situtated in the kalighat area of south kolkata, the bar is situated in the backdrop of old Calcutta surrounded by beautiful, old, sturdy and aesthetically pleasing houses with some amazing architecture. Talking about the place, its clean, comfortable, quirky and a good place to hang out with friends and family alike. The bar section has a seperate space for hookah lovers with good ambience. The drinks section is quite lit with a variety of products available under alcoholic and some products for non alcoholic beverages. The food is good would rate it 8.5/10. The serivce is quick and crisp would rate it 7/10 and the place is comfortable but lacks space in the hookah section would rate it 6.5/10. The ambience of the place is good but the lighting is not up to the mark could have been better would rate it 6/10.
Second house attracts a good crowd and the staff serves with passion. All-in-all a good place for relaxing as well as good dining experience. The photographer was kind enough to ask for permission before clicking any pictures would rate the service as 10/10.
Kudos to second house for the good job. Recommended place to visit in kolkata for a nice, relaxing and enjoyable time.
Overall rating would be around 8/10.

Food quality also good and liquor prices are good, comparatively less than other places which is good for drinkers. And the stffs they are really so good and helpful attentive. And they have their own photographer who can click your personal photos we disturbed him
So many times to click multiple photos but he never get annoyed. Thank you second house to give me that house like atmosphere.
Have specific smoking zone and car parking also available nearly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place. It's my regular. Just a pocket friendly bar, with friendly faces all around, almost everyone is known and the bartenders are wonderful people. I'd say it's best to hangout at the second house as a regular place because of it's prices and ambience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What I liked most about this place is the location of the restaurant and the ambience. Prices of liquor are on the cheaper side along with good food. One can enjoy with their companion thoroughly here. The restaurant crew also takes pictures and publish it on their FB page. Nice place to visit. Must try.

Everything was very nice, the food, the taste and definitely budget friendly but the quantity of the food was less. Like 1 rice would give you 2 servings and the same goes for noodles. Maybe because of less staff things got delayed and cutlery weren't provided on the table. We even had to ask for the glasses for water. The staff must inform the customers about the quantity of the main course item while the order is being placed and not clarify while they're giving their feedback. Number of staff must be increased or existing ones should speed up.
