★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dhoni reached Kharagpur as a 20-year-old in 2001 desperate for a job. His best friend back in Ranchi, Satya Prakash Mishra, had got one as a TTE in Kharagpur railway station. He tried to follow his friend's steps. The legend goes that the then Divisional Railway Manager (Kharagpur) Animesh Kumar Ganguly, a cricket fanatic, was desperately scouting for a wicket-keeper batsman for his railway cricket team. When he saw Dhoni he immediately took him to the South Eastern Railway Sports Association (SERSA) stadium and bowled him 60 balls non-stop. Ganguly was satisfied and Dhoni got a job - TTE at the Kharagpur railway station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh what a nice Stadium, our beloved captain M.S.Dhoni was played here for a long time , good maintenance,, nice play ground,, enough greeny atmosphere, gallery is so good, total capacity almost 22k. There are one Museum also dedicated to Dhoni.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small stadium in the city kharagpur. This stadium is managed by South eastern railway. One gym and railway measium is situated with in the stadium. This stadium is mainly for football. All other sports activities are also practice here like basketball. MS. Dhoni used to practice here when he was posted here during his job of TT. The movie shoot of MS dhoni the untold story is also done here. This is a very beautiful stadium and we'll managed by the authorities.
