Our first trek with SG was in 2015. Since then, Trekking and SG go hand in hand for us. They make a difficult trek possible even for a novice. The most appealing thing is the values imbibed in this team. As a leader, Vishal ensures the homogeneity of the group in a very short span of time. He also ensures that one of the leaders is always there with the slowest person in the group and thus every member of the group enjoys the trek. He always provides geographical and historical information in every trek. I wish Vishal and Team all the very best. May they encourage more and more youngsters towards this adventure.

I am coming with SG-TREKKERS for Vasota Trekking. The Experience of the Trekking is great and Memorable. Vishal Sir & smita madam arranged the great Trekking including song singing compitation during traveling back from satara.? The Views from top of Vasota Fort is Really great. We enjoyed the tracking from the koyna wild sanctuary. The boat ride is so great which includes scenery view of jungle from both sides.? On the top of Fort view see Nagphani kada & view of backwater of koyna dam, which is unbelievable Moment for me. ? This treck gives me lot's of fun, joyfullness and energy. Vasota Fort is also known as VYAGRAGAD,because during Swarajy of Shivaji Maharaj many peoples see tiger in this jungle. So it is exciting Moment for me. Jay Shivaji,Jay Bhavani!!?

The worst experience I have ever had- unsafe, irresponsible, unacceptable. I went for Raireshwar- Koleshwar- Mahabaleshwar range trek with SG trekkers on 4-5Dec 2021. I have been trekking for more than 25 years with various organizers and this was the worst experience I have ever had. So many things went wrong that I have to put it down in bullets- 1. only one trek leader- this meant that the group will either be led or tailed by the leader. the first and the worst mistake, especially on a range trek. 2. No discipline- the trek leader- Vishal Kakade had no sense of discipline for himself or the group. We started 2 hours late on first day, because Vishal did not get up on time or woke up the group members. He had no sense of time discipline and despite several reminders from some of us, did not manage time line necessary for such a long trek. 3. No responsibility- in the entire trek, I did not see Vishal helping any of the struggling trekkers. He was too busy chatting with his friend at the back or in the front. His attention was not on any of the weak trekkers. He did not offer to take off their backpack or lead them by lending a hand or anything at all. 4. Lack of judgement- when the group reached Jambhali village, Vishal should have taken a call to send the slow members by bus to Jor village. It was already 1pm and there was no possibility of completing the trek in 5 hours before it got dark. He did not take that call. When we reached Koleshar top after sunset, he should have taken a local Dhangar as a guide to reach Jor village, as it was impossible to find the trail in dark. He did not do that. 5.Group got split- due to such pathetic group management we got split at a point where Vishal did not know where half the group had gone. He decided to go ahead with some of us who were waiting for him, assuming that the split group will make it to Koleshwar top on their own. This would not have happened if there were two trek leaders. 6. Not taking local support- we reached Koleshwar top in the evening and there are two huts there. Vishal did not take one of the locals as a guide to take the group safely to Jor village, even when he knew it would be a long trek and sun had already set. 7. Lack of route knowledge- Vishal completely depended on the GPS map that he was following and was not alert to notice trails separating or diversions. More than once it was one of us who alerted him if we were on the right route or pointed to the separating trail that we needed to take. 8. Over confidence- even when we were completely lost in the dark, Vishal was 'confident' (??) that he will find the route to Jor village based on his GPS. Kalyani had called for a rescue person through her own contacts. Even when that person found us in the middle of no where, Vishal was not willing to ask him to guide us to Jor village. I had to insist that Kisanbhau Jangam from Kondavle- who had come to rescue us with his son; to guide us to Jor village. Even when Kisanbhau started leading us, VIshal was walking at the back chatting with his friend and did not offer to help any of the struggling trekkers- a 58 year old senior lady, 11 year old boy, a young man struggling due to slippery shoes and an exhausted beginner trekker in her late 40s. His excuse for this behaviour was that his friend did not have a torch and so he was walking with her to show her light. He did not extend any expertise or basic help to anyone. 9. No remorse or apology- With the help of Kisanbhau and sheer team work of group members helping out each other, we all reached Jor village at 12 o'clock in the night. Vishal did not say a word of apology or regret to the group that night or the next day or before we parted ways in Pune. He never accepted any of his mistakes and only kept justifying and giving excuses. He did not acknowledge that he has completely mismanaged this trek, put 12 people at severe risk of health and safety on the mountains and not asking for help even in state of emergency.
