★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My grandfather (actually the brother-in-law of my grandfather but as a child I thought he was my grandfather and we treated him as such) was the Imam of this masjid about 15-20 years ago. I used to come here as a child with my family from Andheri to visit him every once in a month or two.
I haven't been here in more than 20 years but I remember the hauz and the bright colorful fishes in it, and the wooden stairs that go up to the imam's chambers on the first floor, and the terrace full with pigeons and doves very clearly.
Beautiful, spacious masjid.
