★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They were earlier a street food joint before renovation. They have recently relaunched with a lavish air conditioned family place on the 1st floor which is nice.
Now onto the food, the moghlai and tandoori dishes are really good and worth the price. The Chinese items on the other hand still have the quality of its former street food days and totally fail to justify the price tag of other leading restaurants within Hooghly.
Strangely enough, the prices are way less if you have food on the ground floor or if you take away. The staff has an air of attitude which is only going to create a sense of attrition within their client base. Perhaps, its due to their lack of experience as they are very new.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was always feel nostalgic when I visit this place, because I used to watch movies at Chalachitram Cinema Hall and after the movie my dad go there for snacking!
If you're visiting Shankar Cabin, try mughlai items and fish fry. I'll not recommend chinese food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sandwich was awesome but the taste of the chowmin was not so good and also the amount of cheese was not so content in the burger. Nonetheless, the price of the burger is reasonable. Also the quantity was good to go with two people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet spacious and the sitting area in the first floor is aircontioned well decorated..quick service and moderate quality food..
We ordered chicken sweet corn soup ..well the soup was ..ok..and really sweet!!!
The fish fingers were crispy and tasted well..the dry chili fish...again..it was really hot!!..and the fish had a smell...
We visited yesterday..after a long gap..ordered chicken sizzlers..egg chicken noodles and chilli fish..
Well...the sizzlers came with chicken veggies and noodles(!!!!)..and..some parts were so burnt that we had to skip to the other items...here too...we ordered chilli fish..they delivered dry chilli fush though we mentioned the gravy one...the dish didn't taste like chilly fish too...the noodles was ok..thank god!!
