★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't even want to give them any star on the basis of experience I had but unfortunately, Google makes you do it in order to post your review. I left the shop with frustration and annoyance.
Purchased 3 sarees ( Rs. 25000 +) in January 2018. While showing the saree, 4 people started showing us the saree, whereas one person would have been enough to do so. Felt scary and uncomfortable. So me and my husband were compelled to request to them that " two people are more than enough and could rest of the people leave please".
Saree showing episode was alright.
While paying we had a quite a heated argument as we were given plenty of info which were very misleading and lies while showing sarees. When I raised these questions the people who showed us sarees simply sneaked out and stood far in the corner just to escape. They added charge separately for falls, pico, polish and also petticoat stitching which we were told were all included in the saree price. Not only that, they also said that tagged price on the sarees were including the GST.
(I do not mind for paying any of them as long I know it.)
Lies after lies to sell their products.
Eventually they kept my sarees for stitching petticoats (which were attached to the sarees), pico, falls and polish as they agreed for the info given to us.
While collecting my sarees after 3 days, the falls, pico and polish were done but the material for 3 petticoats were returned unstitched. Upon raising the question again another argument took place. I clearly asked them that "why did you keep the petticoat piece with you, why didn't you give to me when I paid to you? I could have very easily got it stitched from somewhere else in the mean time?"
The argument kept going in circles, the owner left in the middle as he knew that he was stuck. Just said to his member of staff in Hindi "sambhal lena" (just manage) and left.
Hence I won't give them any star and won't recommend anyone to go Shantah. Unreliable and cheat. I promised them before leaving the shop that I will definitely put my reviews as people need to know about this episode and your cheating behaviour.
There are sooooo many lovely shops in that same row. Know what you are paying beforehand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. Extremely rude and ill-mannered owner who has no sense of how to treat a customer who is about to purchase merchandise worth several thousands . The employees are sweet and clearly they are terrified of the owner. Was so disgusted, had to pay and run out of the store.
