★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The quality of Education over there isn’t upto mark... It is co-educational in name only, friendly relations and interactions between boys and girls is discouraged, children are taught to avoid the other gender until marriage instead of being taught to respect one another, treat each other as one and the same and foster healthy relationships that help boys and girls grow together. The ‘co-education’ tag probably only exists to increase potential student pool to net more revenue.
While teachers themselves are helpful and take their work seriously, nobody is interested in pedagogical revolutions, reflection and introspection, here it all boils down to passing an exam rather than producing students who are critical thinkers and are able to apply what they learn in class to the real world. Syllabus is adhered to strictly rather than going out of syllabus to make education more enticing and welcoming to students. Classrooms should be discussion oriented but are traditional, chalk and blackboard classes where the teacher dictates notes and the student copies it into their notebook. Technology such as smart classes are used, but it is esentially a gimmick, a marketing ploy to make the school seem more modern than it is, there is very little integration between course curriculum and smart classes. All in all, this is still one of the better schools in Hoshangabad, but saying that this is a good school in Hoshangabad is much like drawing upon the “one eyed king in the land of blind men” analogy.
