The palace is under ruins and I'll maintained. Though the museum houses some artefacts of the royal era but deserves only one star rating from me. The place doesn't have any royal feel but yes a beautiful destination for bird lovers. A whole lot of parakeets and many other birds can be seen.

Well maintained museum. Contained a lot of artifacts It's a good place to go if you are interested in looking at various stuffed wild animals. We preferred the gardens and enjoyed watching the numerous bats in the garden, and at the dilapidated palace structure near the museum (visitors are not allowed inside as the structure is weak after the earthquake)

Nothing special here. The main palace was damaged hence there is 2 min tour museum, a small garden, not up to the hype made by the locals. However you can see many birds in the premises.

Though the palace of Sharad Baug is set in sprawling green grounds the actual building is of very modest proportions. The sitting room, living room and bedroom occupy maximum space in the palace while the dining room is in another building. All these rooms bear interesting artifacts and objects which the royal family used to use in their daily life. The furniture design has an Italian influence while the tapestry on the walls is purely Indian. The body of Madansinhji Jadeja was flown in from UK to India in a personalized coffin. The same coffin is still displayed in the palace which has now been converted into a museum.

The entire palace grounds are quite serene and peaceful. They're also well maintained and clean. The various ruins add a layer of mystery to the mood of the place. The central building was ruined during the last Bhuj earthquake but one can still sense the grandeur and beauty. Our walk in the morning through the property was an amazing experience with all the birds, cool breeze, greenery everywhere, and the freshness of the air. There's enough parking space, in case you are driving to this place and we saw many people come in by tuktuk and rickshaw. There's a small entry fee for the museum, which displays a lot of interesting items from the collection of the last king of Kutch.
