★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Availability of all sorts of daily newspapers, monthly magazines, wide range of books collection, drinking water facility, well maintained washrooms. Timings from 8:30 am to 7:30pm. One can carry their own books and laptop inside for studies, no any restrictions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The collection of books as well as the seating and study environment are lovely, full marks there.
However, when I reached there on Saturday (Feb 26, 2022) at 10 am having travelled 18 km from my home, the library was shut despite the timings mentioned on the board hung outside it.
I couldn't find any person or online source to inquire whether the library will be open shortly or shut for temporary reasons and for how long. The sheer lack of information around the library is what brings my ratings down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two stars only for the quiet nature of the place and the fact that it is an historic and pretty looking building. Maintenance is something that needs to be improved, and should allow for the usage of fans. Also not allowed is the usage of laptop chargers in the premises. The reason given to me was that this was a "free service from the Government of Karnataka" and that there is scope for misuse. Ridiculous. Also there is an insistence on leaving your bag outside. Maybe ask staff to do some actual work and check bags instead on your way out? Maybe the Government of Karnataka wants to keep the library "colonial" even in terms of service and upkeep. Sigh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a beautiful library! Extremely old and has the rustic charm within it. Set in the middle of cubbon park it has a soothing effect to sit within its quiet walls and read! It's a beautiful library too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of books, cool study environment and great infrastructure. Totally quite and just perfect to concentrate. Highly recommended for everyone who wants to study or read anything. Lots and lots of books are available. Just pick one book, pull out a chair, sit and study. Also books are available for rentals if I'm not wrong. Had been their long back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The State Central library is in the middle of Cubbon Park. It was built in 1915 during the reign of Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV.
We'll find amazing books for competitive exams like Civil services, JEE, GATE, SAT, NEET etc. Kannada literature, English literature, Engineering, mathematics, pure sciences, law, philosophy, economics etc .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Sheshadri Iyer Memorial is now a place in the centre of the Cubbon park with thousands of trees around.
The reddish color in between the greens all around is a soothing view to the eyes. There are a lot of books and there is a bus which has hundreds of books.
Many people come around to walk by with pets and reading books is something really good. A cool study environment and great infrastructure makes it a heaven for book lovers.
Extremely old and has a rustic charm. But maintaining it has to be improved. Timings from 8:30 am to 7:30pm. One can carry their own books and laptop inside for studies, no any restrictions.
