★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a P G where mostly JMI students who do not get hostel facilities stay. It is good facility and charges are normally around 11000 per month ( including food) for shared room.. The only limitation that there is bunker bed system.

Giving it 2 stars only for the study room facility, food and somewhat cleanliness (yes rooms remain clean, thanks to room service but in the corridors sometimes the cute cat family living there kills a bird or two and it creates a mess with the feathers and all).
Now coming to why I deducted the rest 3 stars.
I had the worst experience with the warden specially Jeevan who is very rude unnecessarily, and the post stay treatment with my security money. They said they will credit the amount in my account in few days, and it took freaking 2.5 months and many calls for the same to happen.
Yes the management there is very polite, but most of the time they will just tell you they will fix the problem but it doesn't happen. One example I can give you is the Table Tennis table was still broken when i went there and was still broken when I left after 2 months.
Rooms are very small for the hefty price and no chair or table is provided, even after taking 11.5k(that too increasing now) for a very small room, not even a bucket. And they charge you separately even for the normal electricity (for AC I can understand but who charges separately for even the basic electricity such as tube light and fans) at 11Rs./Unit if I recall correctly.
Students or anyone living there are very polite and friendly. I made some good friends.
Food is also good for both vegetarians and no vegs. Mess is clean, a small fridge is also there in the mess. You can store your stuff in it without any worries.
The best part was study room. You can study there 24/7 in AC without any disturbance.
There is only 1 water cooler for the whole hostel and that's in the mess on top floor. Only 1 small machine other than that on ground floor.
And also no backup arrangement for power cut. It rarely happens though, but happened various times during my stay, sometimes for some hours continuously.
As its carpeted, you will need 2 sets of slippers, one for inside the hostel and one for outside.
You have to check in before 10 P.M. every night. There is a bio metric system for opening the main door which opens with the finger print of the hosteler.
And yes the WiFi is great at least when I was there. I was told the WiFi speed is very low when the hostel is full. I was there in an off-season.
So this is my review, yes I know its a long one. I will edit it if I recall anything else important..haha.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent two years at Shibli. It is a good place to stay for students. Nice, silent environment suitable for studies. Wifi facility is available 24*7. However I believe the price is pretty high, I used to stay at a single room with two other roommates, each paying 8k per month, which makes it 24k which is very high for single room, without AC facility. However food and other facilities makes it sustainable. Management is okay, wardens are friendly and helpful. Overall, its a good place to stay if you have the money. You won't regret.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shibli Boys Hostel is a good Hostel for students, requiring some guardianship, to reside. Day-to-day services, such as- dining, cleaning, and laundry, are provided by the Hostel itself, and the services are best and hard to find in Delhi.
The current Chef Mr. Irfan brings quite a delight in whatever he passionately prepares and serves.
Most of the student populated areas lack mobile network connectivity and so does some rooms here too, however, some rooms support some networks and some rooms support others. But the third and fourth floor rooms support all. Nevertheless, the hostel provides good Wi-fi service which on some occasions do not work properly (like 2 or 3 days in a month)
The Hostel also provides-
1) an air-conditioned Multi-purpose Hall in which recreational functions are held such as quiz night, reading event and also movie nights.
2) an air-conditioned Reading Room to accommodate students for their 24x7 study.
3) a Dining Room for collective 3 time meal.
The repair-service is not prompt in some cases. So DIY.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having a great stay here... Got some new friends.. Management is so good... As per considering a hostel it's food is good... We get facilities like Wi-Fi, Table tennis, Laundry, and a common study room....Will miss it.
