★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The attached picture given is of biryani which costs 300 + taxes + delivery charges. I had recieved several taste recommendations from my friends and decided to order from here expecting good food. However, the quantity of food they're delivering is not at all satisfactory. They're promising 750 ml biryani and providing a 400 ml container. It will only serve you as an evening snack and not lunch.
Quality is good. but highly dissatisfied with the quantity. I had ordered for guests at my house, individual biryani boxes. however, I was forced to order out. Will recommend to eat at this place and not to order food from here!

Please try their mutton pasinda ( a very specialised boneless mutton dish with rich aroma; comes with little gravy); so a great stuff with roti/naan etc

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently I visited Shimla Biryani and tasted fea of their dishes. I had the Peshawari Paneer Tikka and Shimla Galouti Kebab for starters. Both of the items were quite good. Then for the main course, I had Cheese Naan with Veg Jhal Frazie and Rajasthani Laal Maans. The Naan was very delicious with a cheesy and garlic flavor. The side dishes were also quite good. The Mutton Kacchi Biryani anf Special Keema Biryani was also good and prepared in authentic Kacchi style. Lastly, I had Firni for dessert which had kesar in it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this place back in September 2021. Me and my friend ordered Mutton biryani and Rogan Josh. The biryani was aromatic, light and tasty. However, the Rogan Josh had a sweet taste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dear biryani lovers, SHIMLA BIRYANI is one of the best restaurants in Kolkata, when it comes to mughal foods.
Serving different types of Biryani, like Zafrani biryani, Mutton kacchi Biryani, Handi Biryani & many more along with mouth watering kebabs.
The ambience in first floor is decorated beautifully with lights and chandelier along with white tables & chairs. The ground floor is decorated with different colouring lights.They have a seating capacity of 100+.
The first floor offers beautiful view of Kolkata so if you visit here for the first time then opt for the first floor.
The food I tried for my recent visit are:

Fish Malai Tikka: ₹350

Mutton Kacchi Biryani: ₹300
Murgh Lajawab: ₹265
Mixed Chilli Garlic Noodle: ₹230

Mutton kacchi biryani is a little more spiced up as compared to normal kolkata style biryani.
The mutton pieces were soft & juicy & what I liked even more is that the aloo was perfectly cooked.
All the above mentioned dishes are equally good.

The food tasted amazing and was just fulfilling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ambiance is simple and comfortable. Though we wanted the to sit on the first floor, but it was unavailable at that time.
We order Chicken tandoori (full) , priced ₹400. The tandoor was quite dry but tastes pretty good. The pudina chutney served was disappointing to me. It felt green food colour was mixed with curd and served.

The Indian Mughlai and Chinese dishes are fingerlicking good.
The restaurant is spacious and the interior are welcoming.
The staff are customer friendly and service oriented.
One can eat and enjoy the best food at a great price with good service on the By-pass all thanks to Shimla Biryani House.
