Price : Higher as per standards
If you maharastian with zanzanit chav person, then this will disappoint you a bit considering there is no biryani masala in any of the biryani. Looks like in Kolkata they don’t use onion whilr creating biryani masala at all. But, overall taste is good with chicken well cooked which is heart of chicken biryani.
Last but not least, they don’t serve even onion nimbu , you have to purchase separately.
Onion raita was really bakwas it fealt like someone added khata hajmola in curd and added some chopped onion in it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Biryani and I am very particular when it comes to eating Biryani - Be it Kolkata Style Biriyani or Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, Lucknowi Biryani or the traditional Kacchi Biryani and so on. Being born and raised in Calcutta, it is quite evident that I'm slightly inclined towards Kolkata Style Biriyani with the must added aloo in it, but on the other hand, I'm a die hard fan of the spicy Hyderabadi Dum Biryani too.
One of my favorite Biryani joints in Calcutta is definitely Shimla Biryani.
Located near VIP Bazar in EM Bypass, Shimla Biryani offers contemporary dining room, dishing up traditional North Indian, Chinese and Fast Food delicacies. It has a vast dining area offering comfortable seating arrangements.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently I visited "Shimla biriyani restaurant". Wanted to have some biriyani naan and all for 2 of us ,so found this place to be the best option. Its located in vip bazar. I always lived their ambience... Its almost totally white, which makes the surrounding more peaceful. Now coming to wht I had with prices mentioned beside....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shimla biryani is one of the best place to have biryani in Kolkata. Other than mughal cuisine they also serves Chinese cuisine.
The place is well decorated with warm lighting and has lavish seating arrangements.
Mostly I liked their Biryani and kebab items, which were really good to taste. Chinese items were also upto the mark.

Be it tandoori items, or Chinese food, every item is delicious. The staffs here is very courteous and helpful. They serve very fast and the lighting of the whole restaurant will make you feel good. Highly recommended of you are biryani lover.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently visited this place and loved every part of it. The ambience is very classy and beautiful, perfect for small parties & family dinners. The staffs are very courteous. The food is great here. I love their Mughlai dishes more. The biryani here is a must try and is easily one of the best biryanis in town.
