★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife's retention wire had come off partially so wanted to get it fixed. So we saw this new place shinde dentals and went in there. Told them what we had as our issue. They said sure...it will be done. Asked us to wait. We waited for 20 mins before the doctor even came. (They could have atleast told us doctor is not there ).
The doctor took a look and said she would not be able to do it.
We were like...why did we waste so much time here if they did not have the doctor to do the procedure. As We had clearly told the people we are here for a doctor who can work retention wire.
And the biggest shock came when we were presented with a "consultation" fee of Rs.300/-
Flabbergasted. No service provided. We clearly know what needs to be done. It is a retention wire fix.....if they did not have the expertise then why this consultation fee ? We didn't come to get a check up. We came clearly for retention wire fix we didn't need a doctor consultation to tell us that.
Just seems like this is a money making ploy. But not a good practice. Not good, preposterous to be Frank.
Hope others take a cue from this and will be more aware before entering this clinic.
Adding on -
We went to clove dental after shinde dental said they didn't have the doctor. We repeated the same things at clove dentals and they told us it will need an orthodontist and they told us a date when the doctor will be available. We took the appointment and came back. No loot. No fees charged for entering their clinic. This is how it should have been handled at Shinde dentals.
