It is here he was blessed by Goddess Padmavati to work for his people and dharma. Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has built a Gopuram here and also started an Anna chatra for poor( free food for devotees and poor).
The Chatrapati Shivaji Spoorthy Kendra is a very beautiful temple dedicated to the warrior king. It also depicts the important events in his life.
