★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place with great architecture, spiritual significance and A taste of Rajasthani locals going about their daily ablutions whilst friendly monkeys surround them.
Definitely do some climbing of the various steps so that you can view the whole place from different spots.
Just don't think the "monkey man" guide wont take too many pics with your camera, or ask for payment, he wanted 500 INR, I handily had a fairly empty purse and only gave him 200 INR. I was charged 50 INR as entry for foreigners but that's less than many sites. And photography is not banned.
Obviously, the prevalence of monkeys also means there's an odour to the place, so if that's not to your liking, avoid yaar!! ;-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another temple which is known to all local people & famous. Many devotees gather in the temple & offer their prayers along with the bath in the 'kund' which is known to be sacred. The kund is never empty as holy water from the hill (around which this majestic temple is built) keeps filling it. TO ATTAIN PEACE & CALMNESS, ONE MUST VISIT THIS PLACE BUT ON A DAY WHEN THE CROWD IS MINIMAL.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dirty place! Monkeys have the free rein over the entire place. The water is stagnant and smells but yet for religious purposes, people swim in the nasty waters of the temple. At this temple if you are coming from the west, you will be charged 50 rs. The guy handing out the tickets was a pretty rude guy. After you pay the 50 rs entry he will try to sit you down in front the temple and talk about karma and give you a fake blessing and string bracelet then he will ask for a donation. Typical temple scam! Its sad to have to resort to using the temple as a ploy with fake blessings. Obviously money is the god of that temple nothing else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can get here two ways- approach from the West and walk up or approach from the East and get driven. Anyone with a reasonable level of fitness should walk, it's not that difficult. Of course you'll get harrased for guides, donations and to buy bananas, peanuts etc for the monkeys, just ignore it. They have very strict rules on photography so I didn't take any. There weren't actually that many monkeys around and they were very docile, not like other ones that grab at your stuff. Funnily enough not a single monkey was bathing in the upper pool, unsurprising given how dirty the water is. However that doesn't seem to bother the locals who bathe in the equally dirty lower pool.
