★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited many Universities and Colleges in Chennai, Pune and NCR for my son. Found the world class infrastructure at Shiv Nadar University (SNU). One thing which impressed me was that you need to be 80% or above (CBSE) to appear in the entrance test for this university. The faculty is highly qualified, the concept of major and minor subjects is interesting. Best place for overall grooming of students. I rate this university next to IIT. The approach of the administration of SNU
seems to be honest. Many people in NCR are unaware of this university perhaps because SNU has started in 2011 only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm a student of the university. The university just started this year. Glad to have been in the first batch. 90% of the faculty are amazing. Nothing less than Phd! Look them up in the site if you want to..
Mess food is improving, hostel is very comfortable. Except I think it's a little expensive. Accessibility to the university is quite poor. Its a 1.5 - 2 hr drive to Sector-16 Noida.
The construction pace is above average. All the basic buildings are there though. The plans of the place look cool. I only wish the whole construction finishes within these 4 years [Which I know isn't possible... The place is huge... You can't just fill them up in 4 years!] so I can enjoy all the facilities this place can provide me with..
Overall: I happened to know this university and end up here... Purely by chance.. To join a university in its first year seemed to be slighlty risky... I did it beacuse Shiv Nadar heads IITK's board, Nikhil Sinha is the founding vice chancellor of Shiv Nadar University. I'm glad I joined this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Inaccessible location. Teachers aren't good. Only head of departments are good but they wont teach. Infrastructure is good. Staying in hostel is compulsory. (though I dont like that). Plus most likely your scholarship will be removed if you dont score well. So if a student is somehow not able to perform in a semester then scholarship gone. But peer is good so kinda you will be with good students around you. So Okayish university for me. Better than VIT, SRM or others.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The University is awesome. They have world class infrastructure, the faculty is highly educated, the mode of selection is transparent and the method of teaching is meticulous. My daughter is studying in this University in B.Tech and when I compare her with her friends who had taken admission in DTU/IP University/Amity/VIT/SRM etc, I feel that she is way ahead. I hope that the University will become more glorious in years to come.

The concept of pursuing a subject of interest with the major course is a wonderful idea which will help to widen knowledge and is expected to reward
