★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well I was fascinated by the fact while visiting chattarpur area by many people who kept asking me have you visited the very famous Shivalay Mandir, which is more than 90 years old. So I had to visit it. My expectations were too much but when I visited i was surprised as it was a very small or tiny mandir. Yes it does matter, a mandir this size is a great landmark of this chattarpur area, there's a road named after it. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner or handlers of this old mandir. He is 67 years old and his great great grandfather made this mandir. Near the mandir are Samadhi of his almost all great grand parent's or father's. The land on which this mandir stands is huge , yes in very bad condition though which is used as a taxi or parking stand or may be garbage place. In between is this small madir. There are trees, thank God, a bored well without water. Except that it is old, i don't thing anything unusual or extra ordinary abt it. Yes, it's really very famous. It's kind of pustaini private property on which it's made with samadhi of ancestors. I have great respect for this family in my heart for the care they have shown for their ancestors. Can be visited out of curiosity.
