One of the landmarks in Nashik City. Not only the Idol of Lord Hanuman (Maruti) is huge, but is also significantly tall... Specially when the water level of Godavari river rises if the water level reached the top of the idol it means the water level is a lot.

This is a small Hanuman Temple by the side of the Godavari River in Nashik near Ramkund. There is a larger than life statue of Lord Hanuman which has two sides or faces, hence it is called Dutondya, which means two faced in Marathi language. It is a saffron colored statue because it is always covered with the vermilion pigment. Maruti is the Marathi name for Hanuman.

As the name suggests, it is Maruti with 2 faces. Situated at the banks of Godavari river. It's also a benchmark to measure flood water level in Nashik. If the deity structure submerges then it's High level alert for Nashik.
