Since the management of the temple shifted to Bhavnagar's Royal family after a long drawn legal battle with the temple priests, the complex saw great improvement in infra structural facilities like guest house, free car parking, drinking water, wash rooms, cleanliness, beautification, approach road from Bhavnagar Rajkot highway. If you are visiting for the first time be aware that there is a large open ground opposite main entrance arch for free and secure parking and avoid misleading touts guiding you to paid parking. Don't miss to take a few 100 meter drive in direction opposite to approach road towards Juna Jalia, Badli, Devgana by the hillocks to get a panoramic view of the Khodiyar lake bordered by hillocks. If you like to see hillocks, valleys, streams, green fields, fruit orchards, barren rocky areas, lakes, ponds, ashrams, temples, all in in one area, then take about 15 km ride further along this road till you reach Tana on Sihor Palitana highway. On the way near Agiyali village visit the wonderful Ganesh temple made of marble stones and maintained by Brahmachari Bapu's disciples. You wud love that place and wud feel like visiting again. It is a pity that no film industry or real estate guy's attention is drawn to this area offering variety of landscape and week end relaxing retreats to nearby town dwellers in Bhavnagar and Sihor town

Maharaja Wakhatsinghji Gohil devout follower of Khodiyar Ma, he prayed to the goddess to bring her holy presence to Sihor- the capital of Bhavnagar , Khodiyar Ma agreed and told him to lead the way, only on the condition that he doesn’t turn around, But he turned around to check for Khodiyar Ma at place called Rajpara, which became the shrine of Khodiyar Ma. Very good temple on Bhavnagar-Rajkot Highway @ 10 k.m from city, very good roads, Peaceful place, Small rope way also available for kids. Free parking for all vehicles, Good food for all.

Excellent place for a one day vacation with family and children....there is many rides...swings...and rope way for enjoyment....such a wonderful place at just 17km from bhavnagar only....it is a must visit place for the tourists as well as for locals... here I'm attaching the latest night time photos of Khodiyar mandir rajpara...hope it is useful..
