★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the old and famous temple in chikhli town. Temple is of Goddess Renuka Mata. As per old stories it is describe as the statue of Goddess Renuka Mata was itself coming out from earth when saint Bacchanand Swami witness the same.
It is the "Gramdaivet" (God of town) of chikhli.
Original Chikhli is situated near this temple, later extended.
Every year on "Chaitra Poornima" (hindu calender based on moon) around april there is a big festival. Another dedicated statue of Goddess Renuka Mata, beautifully decorated was rounded through city with lot of devotees, traditionally called "WAHAN". It is yearly once round of Goddess through city. In old days it was very decent and good. People walking along with was presenting local art like folk songs and other.
Now a days political and rich people created lot of impact on WAHAN. They force fully stops WAHAN in front of there houses and that looks like they have purchased Goddess on the basis of Money. Such things should totally stop.
Also sound limit at night removed total attraction of WAHAN. Here these people are not doing any thing.
Overall WAHAN is very good and you can visit temple any time in the year.
