★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very authentic and delicious Indian food. There is a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. We can specify the level of spiciness. The portions are big. The prices are a bit high, but the food is worth it. Check the menu on their website to see if the prices are within what you want to spend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is homely and can be eaten comfortably. The ambience is great and the staff is very polite. The price per person is 600 which is slightly high for the overall experience considering the quantity is very less and you have to ask for items again and again.
Most of the 5* reviews in review section are fake and paid reviews btw.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is the only thing that can make or break a day for a traveller. But this place just made my dining experience one of the best in recent times. Missed eating over here on Sunday as it was closed but yesterday we got the opportunity to dine in again for lunch.
Nothing bad to write about this place to be frank. The doors were huge and we were welcomed into it with a bright smile. Got settled for a nice thali experience.
All the vibes in this place will make you think of royalty. Everything that was served was in a very orderly manner with utmost love. Quantity wise they are good as well as quality wise too.
The chandan sharbat was light and kinda set the mood for the lunch experience. He dhokla was good and tasted more heavenly with the sweet chutney. For the first time I loved the lemon pickle.. The carrot was too good with right mix of spices. The coconut chutney was minty enough to eat. The aloo cutlet was supers soft with right consistency and crispy enough where I had to ask for a second serving.
The kheer wasn't too sweet but yet it was sweet enough that complimented the thali perfectly. The dal was superb with the lentils cooked properly. The kadhi was good with pakoras. My favourite all of it was the rajma curry, aloo fry and the sweet tangy raita.
The chaat is again a highlight for this thali which wasn't too heavy. The pooria were light and fluffy and they were served hot to make the experience more pleasant. The tawa rotis with ghee and til ladoo was top notch.
Finally the boondi laddoo was rich enough to finish the thali and finally the chaas made us to digest all the awesomeness with no worries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yeah, Hotel Shivay is good as per as the way it is served like the use of copper utensils and warm water for hand wash. But when we talk about the food it is nothing special, normal North Indian dishes i.e Puri, roti, and Normal dal and Vegetables. I think the food that is served can be expanded in terms of quality. Overall pleasent experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I believe that this is the best veg restaurant to have a full thali of veg, basically Indian veg food they used to serve like all kind of vegetables, salads, roti, Puri, laddu, papad, and some kind of sharbat also. If you are a foodi enough then you should go and visit this place.
And if you are just a normal person doesn't eat much then this place might going to feel you bit costly but I think that's a reasonable price they are charging since you can eat up to your fullest.
The most important thing in any restaurant is that how they treat you, how they serve you and that's the best thing which I have witnessed here.
Good hospitality and good services. The most important thing was there that all of the staff members were strictly following the COVID 19 norms taking necessary precautions wearing mask that really felt good.

Food was Good there’s no doubt in that. They serve different varieties of items in thali from papdi chat to sweets. Different varieties of drinks in the beginning. They generally serve thali only.
Basically you can say this place is desi avatar of Barbecue Nation(eat upto your fullest capacity ?)
Prices of thali are bit high but that is reasonable. Only thing we didn’t liked was that they didn’t recommend us the South Indian starters to us after asking also. We came to know about that from the other customers:(

This place is mainly for the tourists who visit Varanasi. They can see the Art & culture of this place from the TV in the restaurant.
They try to keep things & food really simple which is there speciality. Worth visiting, specially if are a tourist!!?
