It is a historic temple which is located in big area and stunning architecture.
The temple also offers Staying facilities for those who comes from other places with good rooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jay Swaminarayan ??. This was my first time at the temple,and i felt quite spiritual feeling. Nice holy temple maybe you must go there. This temple was constructed by more than 199 year ago. Maybe it was one of heritage place in ahemdabad city. Because, this city is also called as heritage city

Temple located in central part of old Ahmedabad..... It's better to go in morning the atmosphere is wonderful as u see entire city wake up

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kalupur is the first Temple of the Swaminarayan Sampraday, a Hindu sect.......
This was the first temple of the Swaminarayan Sampraday constructed as per scriptural norms with intricate carving in pure Burma-teak and constructed with sculptural art by depicting deities' episodes, auspicious symbols and religious icons representing axiomatic religion and Indian culture. The temple is believed to be a valuable cultural heritage in the socio-religious history of Gujarat and India...
With its architecture based on Burma teak wood, every coloured arch and bracket is a bright different shade, something that stands out in most Swaminarayan temples.
Even the British were impressed by its architecture so they gave a cannon salute as a mark of respect........

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very Beautiful Swaminarayan Temple almost 150+ years old located near Kalupur Railway Station known as entry point for "Ahmedabad Heritage Walk". Amazing Carvings & well maintained cleanness.
Mandir has covered huge area including parking facility inside, Separate male & female mandir, Guest House.
You can take prasad at bhojanalaya.
Fully crowded on Sundays usually. Lots of people do their own Pooja.
Really divine atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exquisite wood carved pillars, naturally coloured walls, story telling by means of carvings, this place carries the whole fiesta of a 200 year historical snapshot.
If you want to visit the place in its full hustle and bustle, do drop at the time of arti at 8am, when the doors to the inside sanctums are opened for the visitors to see.
A part of the Swaminarayan residence is visible only accessible to male members. It’s a must visit, if possible.
PS: This is also the starting point for Ahmedabad Heritage Walk starting 7:30am.

Where you can really feel existence of God. Big ground.... old sculpture and architecture. Really amazing place. Parva was celebrated for completion of 200 years of this temple. This is original swaminarayan slsampraday.
