The hygiene level is very good with the 'sewaks' (volunteers) applying sanitizer after every 10 minutes on the hands of the devotees of the Gajanan Maharaj. Considering the current Covid scenario, they are following all the required restrictions like social distancing by asking the devotees to wear a mask, stand in the marked area away from others, for the prasad it is again one devotee per table instead of the usual three. The town is very nicely planned & well connected by road & railways.

He first appeared at Shegaon, a village in Buldhana district, Maharashtra as a young man in his twenties probably during 23 February 1878. He attain ed Sanjeevana Samadhi on September 8, 1910 which is thought to be a process of voluntary withdrawal from one's physical body. This date of his Samadhi is commemorated every year as part of the Shree Punyatithi Utsav.[1] The date of his first appearance is considered an auspicious day and is celebrated as Prakat Din Sohla.[2]

People who work here as Sewak are very helpfull and friendly. When you reach on main railway station there is free bus by the management of temple to ride towards temple and to the Bhakti Nivas (Place where any one can stay like hotel). The bus service is very fast and free. The Prasad they serve here is very great in taste. The premises is always clean. Also the temple is in construction still cleanliness is well maintained. The temple is very beutiful from inside. But don't take pictures of inside in temple. Photography is not allowed their. And lastly once again i want to appreciate efforts of mnagement sansthan they maintained temple and Bhakta nivas very good.

Shegaon is a little town, and like most other towns in India, it's dirty and unclean for most parts with stuff thrown around on roads and walking paths. But one step inside the temple, and you'd think you've moved to a different city! The temple is very crowded on Thurdays and weekends / public holidays. As we were there on Thursday We had to stand in the queue just for around 1 hours. But the management of queue is so excellent that you don't feel tired of waiting. There is a facilities of water and washrooms while you are in queue. There are huge no of "SEVEKARI"which are working honestly and very humbly. No separate paid darshan. All are equal. Very well manged Maha prasad where Free food is provided, which is really tasty. Back outside, after retrieving our footwear from the holding facility, we stood there within those premises for some time, reflecting on how well managed the place was. This temple and their management should be an example to all the other temple management bodies and trusts in India. It was a wonderful visit..

They offers free of cost bus services (neat and clean) from railway station to Temple to bhakt nivas. You get three options to stay at bhakt nivas, no advance booking or online booking applicableq, just walk down and as per rooms availability and your requirements room gets offered.1. Bhakt nivas sankul near to temple 2. visava bhakt nivas and 3. Anand vihar both are about 3 km away from temple. You have best options to stay as per your budget and convenience. I visited with family at shegaony in covid time, required e-pass which is available online as well as in all bhakt nivas. The entire temple is neat and clean, pleasent atmosphere. Everyone was acting in self discipline and going in queue with following safe distance. The darshan time is about 1 hr in which people take samadhi darshan and then go for maha prasad. Every where we found silent, peaceful, polite and humble staff, neat and clean place. After prasad you go to donation area. There are 4 counters where people can give donation as per their wish. And then you go to exit. We got excellent darshan and mahaprasad, my entire family was very happy. I visited many place but Best management experience, neat and clean, pleasent atmosphere and self discipline in my life is only at shegaon devasthan and bhakt nivas.

The temple administration has provided a lot of facilities so that the devotees do not have to worry about cleanliness and neatness every day.
