Very sacred place
It's definitely difficult & troublesome to find the place and drive to the temple through very very narrow streets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Devi Sati is worshipped as Puruhutika. It is believed that the Seat of Sati devi had fallen here when Lord Vishnu cut her corpse with the Sudarshana Chakra during daksha yagna. Later sri chakra was re installed in kukkuteswara temple in the same village which is near to highway. As such the main temple is inside the village and same equivalent temple was built later.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very very difficult to find this temple inside the town. The deity is now (may be) located in Kukkuteswara swamy temple in pithapuram (same town). This is just a small temple inside the local area (but main temple and main deity location) and hard to reach. four wheeler can't get inside. One of the Asta dasha shakthi peetas and this temple is left like that made me sad but the poojas and other formalities for the deity are well managed here. People who travel by road may have chance to visit this but for others it may be difficult

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the astadasa Shakthi pettam. Here siva is worshipped in the form of kukuteswara swamy. And swayambhu dathathreya swwami temple in the same premise. Must visit temple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Out of 18 famous shakti peetams , this was the 10th one & I have got a chance to visit this famous temple. Feels peaceful. One main thing here is you can see all 18 avatars of goddess which were engraved on main temple walls.
Coming to Covid protocols, most of the pilgrims wearing masks. Since there wasn't much crowd,no issues in social distancing. Asides with a Rs. 20 ticket, you can get an antaralaya darshan too. Asides here you can plan your baby naming ceremony, aksharabhyasam,shraadh karma pujas etc...
