★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Ganesh looks quite imposing, like an emperor, and i felt like a commoner might before a king (i treat God as my friend). Siddhi and Buddhi looked very benign.
One interesting thing about all these temples in Jabalpur is that there's one Dude who seems to be calling the shots. Frequent visitors take the blessings of the Dude, who seems to be higher on the pecking order than a pujari. He has a sidekick who distributes the prasad.
The sidekick gave me a book on the Mandir in Hindi, which i will take forever to finish. I learned Hindi in the 8th grade, when they were threatening to disband Matriculation in the late 1970s. It was a good thing, as i can at least read the script.
I hung around the temple absorbing the sights of the wonderful trees and ate the prasad. I left slowly; savoring them.
