The worst interior designer expereince ever. We gave him a full interior contract of our new home and the outcome has been disastrous in terms of quality, value for money and professionalism. The owner is more concerned about cost cutting and increasing his profits. He pays no heed to client complaints. He wants the client to accept whatever quality he has to offer. There has been absolutely no input in terms of creativity or comfort of the client and he is more interested in just winding up the project once for all. We did not negotiate any commercial terms with him accepting whatever he quoted and yet the kind of services that we have received is appalling. Following has been our ordeal - 1) The modular kitchen that was promised to us and the quality of product and finishing that we have received is very poor. The laminates were out from the ply within 6 months.Upon complaining, after much argument he agreed to change the laminates giving very limited options. The second change of laminates again started wearing off in 6 months and now he has stopped responding. His vendor for modular kitchen is not a reputed one and uses very low quality material. The finishing has been an issue since the start. Infact, there were many unfinished portions that we werent satisfied with and all he had for justification is "its a human error, pls ignore it".....and there were major finishing issues which are not ignorable. 2) The entire furniture made by him be it wall units, crockery units, beds and wardrobes have such unfinished and sharp edges that hurt constantly and now we can do nothing about it. Initially he assured us that we he will take care of it. 3) The sliding wardrobe door that we wanted has been built with major gaps with dust entering the wardrobe. The locks for the lockerdrawers are of so pathetic quality that we have changed them twice and yet they arent strong enough for safety. 4) The storage units have doors that dont close properly and he wants us to ignore it considering human error. 5) He charged us 50k for a folding sofa cum bed which is of so inferior quality that we are badly disappointed with. The interiors of the sofa came with just a ply and we had to insist on putting up a laminate inside also. The out polish had scratches and the sofa vendor just refused to work on it further. Instead, of resolving our issues, he started arguing with us that he also expenses to meet and we should be happy with what we have got. We paid such heavy amount to be settled with whatever he had to offer. 6) The entire interior in terms of design and creativity was summed up by us and there was absolutely zero contribution on his part on designing aspect. He is more focussed on getting work done at low cost whilst quality of product can go for a toss. This has been the worst interior expereince ever and we absolutely dont reccomend him. No professionalism, no ethics and absolutely zero client priority!!! We are now going ahead with giving a detailed complaint in consumer forum also.
