It is well known for it's good result both in secondary and higher secondary section. It is a well maintained and disciplined school. This school is situated near Shyamnagar railway station.

Students are really cared by the teachers. All of the teachers have experience and expertise in their respective subjects... IT lab facility is also available for individual students from 5 to 12... Physics, chemistry and biology labs are also good... Smart class facility available...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shamnagar balika vidyalaya is a highly reputed higher secondary government school.
Personally, my primary and secondary education background has completed from this school.
of course it's nearer to the shamnagar station which indicates a good location. Infact, shamnagar Kalibari is also near from SBV.
One grief for this school is it has no headmistress/headmaster it rans by a teacher in charge. Anyways, this school has a big playground within it.
The science faculty is amazing, specially "The Chemistry lab" ?
Therefore, I love this school from the bottom of my heart and love all the respected teaches. Now am a ex-student of shamnagar balika vidyalaya. I miss those days. It was amazing.
